We have orchestrated some pretty cool social media campaigns for clients – and heard of plenty more from colleagues in the PR World – such as “the 1,000th LIKE gets a $1,000 AMEX gift card” or “the first person to comment and answer this trivia question correctly gets a new plasma tv” and NOW this…….
A Boca Raton based Jeweler is giving away a $4,500 diamond engagement ring to the couple who uploads their photo to the jeweler’s Facebook page and gets the most “Likes” and comments.
Of course this campaign is running during the month that contains the most lover-infused holiday – February’s ever popular – Valentine’s Day. The photos must be uploaded between Feb. 1 to Feb. 28 and the winners will be announced via Facebook March 1.
The winning couple will get a GIA-certified 0.75 carat round diamond engagement ring in a white gold and diamond Halo setting. Participants are encouraged to campaign to get the most votes.
Here’s what’s still to be determined… will $4,500 get Raymond Lee Jewelers a decent amount of new, loyal page likes? With $4k an organization can run a pretty decent FB AD Campaign – but as we all know social media is most successful when it’s super “engaging” – no pun intended ha!
So, as busy as we are here at Conceptual Communications – we are going to keep an eye on Raymond Lee’s social media ploy by Liking their page today (hey, gotta give these guys something for their creativity) and seeing how many likes they have come March 1st. We are on it like white on rice – or should I say “ice” 🙂
